Women in Digital Business (WIDB)

Women in Digital Business (WIDB) is a new initiative by the International Training Centre of the ILO and Microsoft Philanthropies. Our objective is to unlock the participation of women entrepreneurs in the digital economy, by giving them access to training programmes on digital skills, using our network of Trainers and Lead Trainers.

This is a transformative initiative designed to empower women with the essential digital skills and entrepreneurial knowledge needed to thrive in the modern economy. This program aims to bridge the gender gap in the digital space by equipping participants with tools to start, grow, and manage online businesses effectively.

Program Objectives

  1. Develop Digital Literacy: Equip women with fundamental and advanced digital skills, including e-commerce, digital marketing, and online payment systems.
  2. Promote Entrepreneurship: Provide practical knowledge on starting and scaling businesses using digital platforms.
  3. Foster Innovation: Encourage innovative thinking to solve challenges through technology and create marketable products and services.
  4. Build Financial Independence: Empower participants to generate sustainable income streams through freelancing, e-commerce, and digital services.
  5. Expand Networks and Collaboration: Connect women entrepreneurs to mentors, investors, and support networks for sustainable business growth.

We welcome partner with various organizations to deliver this program to target beneficiaries.
