“Lack of access to finance: On average, women tend to earn less, save less, and hold less secure jobs, giving them a smaller financial safety net for business failures or economic shocks such as COVID-19. In addition, only 2% of venture capital funding currently goes to women-led startups.
This program focuses on empowering girls and young women entrepreneurs by incorporating gender issues into the training process; including digital skills to help their businesses do more and become efficient with technology.
Entrepreneurship education and training are essential for female entrepreneurs who are forced to balance family expectations, personal lives, and new ventures at the same time. Most of the time, generic entrepreneurship training may fail to promote understanding of gender literacy and its relationship with creating and managing business entities.
We target training 100,000 girls and young women in the next 3 years and welcome like minded partners to help us achieve this target.
