About BDIT College

Practical skills for people who are already working

Business Development & Innovation Training College (BDIT College) is a training, research and consultancy college. We help individuals, organisations and partners grow by acquiring the right skills — bridging the knowledge–action gap across sectors.

Our story

Closing the gap between what people studied and what work asks of them

We started with a simple observation: many capable people in Kenya were held back not by talent, but by the gap between what they studied and what their jobs asked of them.

So we built short, hands-on courses taught by practitioners — project managers, data analysts, M&E specialists and leaders who still do the work. Classes run in the evenings, on weekends and online, so learners keep earning while they grow.

Today we also design training for NGOs, companies and public institutions, and run mentorship and apprenticeship programmes with partners who share our goal: skills that show up in the work.

Our mission

To empower individuals, communities and our partners through innovative research, strategic consultancy and comprehensive capacity building.

Our vision

To be a leading global provider of research-driven solutions and capacity-building initiatives that foster sustainable development and transformative change.

What we stand for

  • Practical first

If a skill can’t be used at work next week, we rethink how we teach it.

  • Open to everyone

Flexible schedules, payment plans and encouraging entry requirements.

  • Quality we can prove

Assessed projects, verifiable certificates and honest feedback.

  • Partnership

We design with employers and communities, not just for them.
